Five St. James Canucks players created quite the excitement Wednesday night as they dropped in on the Heritage Victoria 11A3 practice. Austin Hill, Scott Gallaher, Kole Stockham, Jeremy Idzikowski and Tyler Wiess arrived to Wednesday practice early, threw their gear on and joined the Heritage practice. The Canucks enjoyed their time out on the ice, participating in drills, and helping mentor the young players. The young heritage Victoria players got to test their skills on goalie Tyler Wiess and try their luck going one on one against Canuck players. “It was a very rewarding experience” said three year veteran Scott Gallaher. “To be able to go out, have some fun and spend time with young hockey players is what it’s all about”. Four year veteran Austin Hill echoed Gallaher’s thoughts. “Just to see the smile on the kid’s faces when we got on the ice made it worthwhile. I am just happy we can go out and make hockey fun for the kids.”
