2024 Fall Pre-Season Development Camps

Co-ed Prep Camp (U11)

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, this camp promises to be an exhilarating and enriching experience for all involved. Here’s what you need to know:

The St. James Junior Canucks are committed to helping foster the development of young hockey players in the community. During the season, all Canuck players take part in various community events such as AA Day, community club carnivals, and minor hockey practices. They are excited to give back to St. James minor hockey; a community that helped develop them into the players and citizens they have become. An important initiative from the Canucks executive is to provide high-quality hockey development at an affordable price to minor hockey players in the St. James and surrounding area. Our camps will aim not only to improve players’ skill levels but to emphasize the importance of teamwork, work ethic, and developing a positive attitude. Our instructors for the camp are highly trained and certified coaches who have grown up playing hockey in the St. James Minor Hockey system. Our camp’s primary instructor, Scott Forcand, is a seasoned coach with extensive training and certification. Having honed his skills through years of playing hockey within the St. James Minor Hockey system, he and his team of assistant instructors are excited to offer top-notch, skill-focused training to aspiring young hockey players.

Camp Schedule:

Skill Work: Each session begins with 60 minutes of dedicated skill work. Our experienced coaches will focus on developing fundamental skills such as skating, passing, shooting, and game strategies.

Small Area Games: Following the skill work, participants will engage in 30 minutes of small area games action. This provides an opportunity to implement newly learned skills in a dynamic and competitive environment

Every player in each camp will receive:

• St. James Junior Canucks Hockey Camp jersey
• First chance to sign up to lead the Canucks out with the flag during a home game (6-10-year-olds)

Female 4×4 Hockey Camp (U13 and U17)

4v4 Hockey: Following the skill work, participants will engage in 60 minutes of intense 4v4 hockey action. This provides an opportunity to implement newly learned skills in a dynamic and competitive environment.
