This camp is designed for those that are planning on trying out for A1. It will prepare players for tryouts which have drills specifically aimed at reviewing and refining the following skills: skating (forward/backward stride, edge work, stop/start, speed crosscuts, forward to backward transitions etc..); puck handling (puck protect); passing (stationary and on the move); shooting (receive and quick release); and checking (angling) skills along with small area and competitive games that will develop hockey IQ and help prepare for the “gameplay” portion of tryouts. The camp will be designed to develop players skills as well as TMC (Think, Move, Compete) concepts during small area games and will have players in top form for the beginning of their season.
