The St. James Jr. Canucks hosted our Annual St. James Minor Community Club night on Feb. 25th. We hosted the Stonewall Jets and it certainly lived up to its billing in a hard fought game. More importantly, we had over 220 St. James kids in attendance. It was very well attended and the kids certainly added to the atmosphere!!
Luke Roeleveld, U11 Canucks, led the Jr. Canucks on to the ice carrying our team flag. He then participated in the ceremonial puck drop with former Canuck captain and three time MMJHL Champion, Kale Price.
The night was a special night as we honored Luke’s mother who very recently passed away from cancer. The St. James Jr. Canucks donated all of the 50/50 proceeds to the Roeleveld family. The winner of the 50/50, then in turn, donated their winnings to the family as well. The winning 50/50 number was 4310.
The St. James Jr. Canuck Hockey Club would like to thank all of the local parents, all of the St. James Minor hockey players, our volunteers and the Stonewall Jets for their support and participation in a very special evening.
